Following the passing of Damien's maternal grandparents, we felt compelled to take on the challenge of breathing new life into this charming and magnificent family estate, gifted by Damien's great-grandfather to his son Edouard de Harenne, affectionately known as Bon-Papa. Extensive renovation work took place in 1955-1956. 67 years later, we undertook a complete renovation of the house while preserving its timeless charm.
Granny, Marie-Berthe David de Lossy, Damien's grandmother, worked her magic, creating countless memories for her 7 children, 17 grandchildren, not to mention their spouses and 28 great-grandchildren. Anyone who arrived unexpectedly was warmly welcomed to share a meal or a cup of tea, never forgetting the delightful pound cake that always filled the house with its comforting aroma.
Each room has been furnished and decorated with care and passion by Sophie. It's the ideal place to recharge your batteries and relax in total tranquillity. It's a place of calm, tranquillity, independence, silence and disconnection from the daily grind... We have sought to create an environment where everyone can feel at home, while benefiting from the charm of an old building that has been carefully renovated.
